VALBEC is offering a free conference registration to the VALBEC Annual Conference 'Read the word, Read the world' for people who are:

  • Members of VALBEC (you or your organisation)
  • Working part time or as a sessional teacher at a Learn Local centre
  • Have never attended a VALBEC Conference.

If you are prepared to write an article for Fine Print you may be eligible for a free place.

Tell us in 25 words or less why you would like to take up the special member offer of a free registration. 

Act quickly! Your request must be with VALBEC by May 5.

The decision is entirely at the discretion of the VALBEC Committee.

VALBEC is offering a free conference registration for the ACAL Conference 'Joining the Pieces: Literacy and Numeracy - one part to the picture' for one person who:

  • Is a member of VALBEC (you or your organisation)
  • Has never presented at an ACAL conference in the past
  • Has a great idea for a conference workshop or presentation
  • May need some assistance to put a proposal together

Proposals for conference sessions are due with TCAL by May 12, 2012.

Conference and proposal details

In 50 words or less, outline your proposal idea and why you would like to take up the special member offer of an ACAL conference registration. Be sure indicate if you would like assistance from a VALBEC committee person.

If your proposal is accepted by ACAL then VALBEC will pay for conference registration.

Act quickly! Your request must be with VALBEC by May 5.
